General Questions/New to Joomla! 5.x • Re: URL Rewrite Breaks Menu Items

Hello all,

I've followed the links. Webdongle's second link, "How to test if MOD Rewrite enabled", it's failing the test. It advises, if it fails/is not enabled, to do the following:

"If it is not enabled and you have access to the file apache/conf/httpd.conf, open that file and check if the line LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so is uncommented. If necessary, uncomment the line and restart the Apache web server."

It looks like apache/conf/httpd.conf might be historic/outdated advice. On my Debian, I have /etc/apache2/apache2.conf which seems to be the successor to httpd.conf and I don't have LoadModule rewrite to uncomment.

At this point I thought it best to FPA, the final solution. So with that said, is this able to shed any light on it:

This is the link to the PDF export from FPA. It's my work OneDrive. If it gets blocked I'll chop up the PDF and post again with it attached but I've just tried and it says the file is too large so perhaps I could chop it up via pages and upload them separately.

Thanks,
Dan
